Our History

Profile was founded in 1998 by Steve Ehmann. Built from the ground up, Steve and his Team started with no facility or equipment and grew Profile into a film and bag extrusion company with an extraordinary focus on taking care of our Team and our customers. Along the way, Profile has earned a leading position in the food packaging industry, in addition to serving multiple other markets. Regardless of application, Profile is passionate about delivering exceptional service.

Profile Launched a Manufacturing Execution System (MES), developed in-house, tailored to Profile’s specific manufacturing processes.

2014

Profile moves into our new manufacturing facility on the Northwest side of Grand Rapids, MI. This GFSI compliant facility allowed us to obtain a BRCGS certification.

2020

Profile shifts our annual Christmas party, which is usually indoors, to be outside on our front lawn in October. We were not going to let trying times stop us from getting together.

2023

Profile reached 200 employees for the first time marking continued growth for the company. Profile purchased an additional 9-acre property & is developing plans to expand production capacity.

2024

We continued to invest in our people with the expansion of the employee break area and entry referred to as “Profile Commons.”
